Behavior Expectations

Molokai High School is dedicated to providing a secure and productive learning environment. This means there are clear safety protocols and firm behavioral expectations that all students must understand and follow.

Student Safety is Paramount

Students will learn about comprehensive emergency procedures, including what to do during evacuations and how parents will be notified. They'll know how to anonymously report concerns like bullying or suspicious activity using "Text a Tip." The school enforces strict zero-tolerance policies against weapons, drugs, alcohol, and bullying. Students must also be aware of and respect off-limits areas, follow health room procedures, and adhere to rules for visitor access and parking safety.

Clear Behavioral Expectations

Students are expected to follow a Student Code of Conduct that emphasizes regular attendance, punctuality, and respectful behavior. Detailed attendance and tardy policies outline expectations and consequences, including potential referrals for truancy. The school maintains strict rules regarding cell phone use, appropriate language, and behavior. A clear dress code is in place, alongside policies for responsible internet and technology use, textbook care, and school food service. Participation in extracurricular activities and graduation is tied to meeting these behavioral and academic responsibilities.
